Easy peasy lemon squeezy playdough

We're a playdough loving family and I just wanted to share this super easy and quick playdough recipe I came across the other day.
You need:
2 cups plain flour
1 cup salt
4 tblspns cream of tartar
2 tblspns cooking oil
food colouring
2 cups boiling water
peppermint essential oil
glitter
containers for storing
Mix the dry ingredients and glitter in a large bowl, add cooking oil, food colouring and peppermint essential oil. Combine and till it forms a thick dough that holds together. Feel free to add more flour to make it less sticky :-)
The peppermint smells so good! I actually added rosewater to the pink one and it has a delicate rose smell, rose essential oil would have a beautiful smell.
Amber and Esko were very impressed with the playdough. Esko thought it was cake dough when I first handed it to him 'oooh yummy'. He then rolled it into snakes to chop up with little scissors and Amber spread it all over the ground and made body prints on it!

Loving Rhythm of the home

Feeling so inspired by Rhythm of the home (http://www.rhythmofthehomeblog.com/) and their new winter edition. How beautiful to resonate with what people are doing on the other side of the world. When you follow your heart you find amazing things.
This is a sneak peak of my mini snack mat with cute felt mushrooms (fairy ones of course) made from a pattern by the talented Josie at www.etsy.com/shop/breadandbuttons . Like most things I make I find it more heartwarming to give to someone else, and Amber was thrilled to use it.
